Tour to a Deserted Eskimo Village

This boat trip takes you to Stephensen Harbour and the closed village of Niaqornat. Here you will be guided through an Eskimo village in Tuttutooq which is located on an island near Narsaq (southern part of Greenland) and learn the history and architecture of the Eskimos. Lunch and a guided tour is included in the prize.

Bornholm is a Danish island in the Baltic Sea, located to the east of Denmark, the south of Sweden, and the north of Poland. Its principal town is Rønne. The main industries on the island include fishing, arts and crafts like glass making and pottery using locally worked clay, and dairy farming. Bicycling around on the island is a popular activity to do in the summer. You can also enjoy yachting, fishing and golf. Highlights include: Hammershus Castle ruins (Hammershus Ruiner), Bornholm Museum, and Østerlars Church (Østerlars Kirke).



Kangerlussuaq is a settlement in west Greenland at the head of a fjord of the same name. The Kangerlussuaq area is home to Greenland's most diverse land-based wildlife (such as musk oxen, caribou, Arctic foxes and Gyrfalcons) and many sports & adventure tours operate from here. Worth visiting is also the peak of Sugar Loaf, 350m above sea level, where you can view the beautiful landscape of glaciers and the fantastic scenery of Kangerlussuaq City. Six flights weekly arrive from Copenhagen and connect to internal flights operated by Air Greenland to the capital Nuuk and Ilulissat amongst other locations.


Sightseeing tour of Nuuk

This tour takes the visitors to Greenland National Museum, the wooden cathedral, and other important locations in Nuuk. The admission fee to the museum, bus fare and guide costs are included in the overall fee. The tour takes approximately 2 hours

Narsaruaq is a small community with approximately 200 people mainly employed at the airport or the associated hotel. It is an independent facility with its own power station, harbor and workshops. Narsarsuaq is located at the deepest end of the Erik fjord, which is located south of the island. Most people fly into Narsarsuaq when travelling to Greenland.


Ilulissat is the third largest settlement in Greenland and situate about 200 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle. Illulisat also means "The Icebergs” and is Greenland's most popular tourist destination. At its eastern end is the Jakobshavn Isbræ glacier which is the most productive glacier in the northern hemisphere. The glacier flows at a rate of 20-35 metres per day, resulting in around 20 billion tonnes of icebergs calved off and passing out of the fjord every year. The Ilulissat Icefjord was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004. In the summer, you can catch the "Midnight Cruise" under the midnight sun (end of May - end of July). You can also enjoy activates such ice hiking to the "Ice Fjord," dog sledding and glacier cruises.

Disko Bay

Also called Qasigiannguit and is located south of Ilulissat Isfjord (Ice Fjord). It is a completely unspoilt district in a striking natural area and is known as the green heart of Disko Bay. The area is characterised by warm summers (up to 27c) Disco Bay is ideal for hiking in the summer time, with gentle hills, tundra plains, green passes, blue fjords and mountain tops. The dog sled season starts as early as December. From July to October you can enjoy whale spotting.


Narsaq also known as the “Green paradise of Greenland” is a true pearl of beauty in the otherwise extreme arctic nature of Greenland. The waters around the Narsaq peninsula are rich with seals, Salmon, Arctic Char and small whales. Even reindeers are present in this area. Narsaq is also close to Uunartoq which is known for its hot springs and waterfalls. Hiking tours are popular in this area, the Nanortalik hiking route is recommended.



Nuuk is the capital and largest city of Greenland. It is located at the mouth of the Nuup Kangerlua inlet on the west coast of Greenland, about 150 miles (240 km) south of the Arctic Circle. The city was founded in 1728 by the Norwegian missionary Hans Egede when Greenland was a Norwegian colony under the Dano-Norwegian Crown. Today Nuuk – as the rest of Greenland – is populated by Inuit and Danes.

The town of Tasiilaq, also known by its former name of Ammassalik, lies just south of the Arctic Circle. It is situated on a fjord which is protected from the open sea by a narrow mouth, and the first sight that welcomes arriving guests looking out of the helicopter window is of the many brightly-coloured houses built along the mountainsides. Many international scientific studies and expeditions take place here every year, attracted by traces of dwelling sites from earlier times along the coast and by the fact that this area contains nearly all of Greenland's flora and fauna. Most of the visitors to Greenland's east coast come via Iceland but you can fly by helicopter from other locations in Greenland. There is also a newly built hotel in this area.

This tour is done in a four-wheel drive. After a wild drive to the glaciers of the Ice Cap, you will enjoy a barbeque while leisurely admiring the beautiful world of ice.
